Basic Trailer Handling & Towing on the road (preparation for DVLA B + E test if required)

The course
1 – 4 days, depending on experience The course starts with ‘Basic Trailer Handling’ training for a group of maximum 6 candidates attending this section together. The second part of the course, is an intensive session of ‘Trailer Towing on the Road’ for a maximum of 2 candidates.
Experience
For those with little experience 2 and a half days are recommended. ( If candidates are very inexperienced, it may be advisable to practice with a vehicle and trailer prior to the course) As with many other practical skills, there is nothing better than experience and practice! We can sometimes offer shorter sessions for those with experience and for groups.
What should you bring to the course?
Work boots or shoes suitable for driving, gloves, non-snag work clothes, “Hi-Vis” Jacket. and wet weather gear. It is essential to bring your driving license on the day.
Equipment
Candidates must bring their own vehicles, as it is better to use equipment you are familiar with. For those who need to take the B+E test - don’t worry if you can’t bring your own trailer, since you cannot legally tow one until you pass your test, you will be able to use ours for the training.

Lynher Certificate of Attendance OR Lantra awards certificate
Candidates must be 17+ and hold a full driving license (Category B)
! Please note: All trainees must be over 18 years of age and in good health.
Persons with certain ailments or on certain medication may not be able to take part in the practical sessions.
