Tractor Driving
For anyone using a standard (i.e. not mini) tractor for work purposes in land based /agricultural sectors/ construction.
The course
The Lantra course is modular, comprising Mandatory and Optional Units. The foundation course is 1 to 3 days, dependant on the driver’s experience and the sections to be included.

Certificate
Lantra awards certificate of basic training & photo ID card
Refresher training is recommended approximately every three years
What should you bring to the course?
Steel toe-capped work boots, loose non-snag work overalls, 2 passport photos.

! Please note: All trainees must be over 16 years of age and in good health.
Persons with certain ailments or on certain medication may not be able to take part in the practical sessions.

Safe procedures and observation
Safe driving and handling of tractor
Optional Units:-
Hitching/manoeuvring with trailer implements
Hitching/manoeuvring with mounted implement
Fitting and operation of PTO’s
Basic use of tractor mounted loader
At least one of the Hitching/manoeuvring options must be covered to achieve the basic certificate. Further options may be covered depending on progress
