Anyone involved in routine inspection and maintenance of children’s play areas.
The Course
This is a one day classroom-based session. No formal assessment. Refresher training recommended every 3 to 5 years

What should you bring to the course?
No special equipment required.
Note: All trainees must be over 16 years of age. Persons with certain ailments or on certain medication may not be able to take part in the practical sessions.

What the course includes:
• RoSPA guidelines on ‘legal Aspects of Safety in children’s Playgrounds.
• How to conduct a routine visual inspection of Children’s play areas
• Detailed inspection of site, including such checks as: Area clean, tidy and free of water & debris; notices, bins, fencing and safety surfaces in good condition, no dog fouling
• Detailed inspection of the play equipment including: Swings, slide, seesaws, roundabouts, climbing frames and other structures to ensure all are complete, secure and in good condition.
• Routine maintenance of play area
• Routine repairs to play equipment
• Producing status reports
• Client checklists
• Annual inspections
