Chainsaw Maintenance & Cross Cutting

Who is the Course for?
Anyone using a chainsaw for work or domestic purposes. This course is perfect for those who will never need to fell trees, e.g. fencers, firewood loggers, builders, etc.
Operators who are working for certain companies (e.g. Railtrack or the Forestry Commission), or those wishing to continue to felling trees over 200mm, or use chainsaw in trees should attend a different training course which leads to an NPTC test.
2 days for novice or less experienced users.
1 day for experienced users i.e. 3 years experience recommended.
Practical assessment with short questions at end of course
Refresher training is recommended approximately every three years

! Please note: All trainees must be over 17 years of age. Persons with certain ailments or on certain medication may not be able to take part in the practical sessions. First Aid training recommended.
