Chainsaw – Powered Pole Pruner (NPTC CS48)
Who is the Course for?
Anyone using a Powered Pole Pruner to remove overhanging branches.
Candidates who already have NPTC Maintenance & Cross Cutting (CS30) qualification, and have suitable and relevant experience are not required to take the assessment for CS48.1 (maintenance of the powered pole pruner)
1 day for all users. Very experienced users (3 years experience recommended) who also hold CS30 & CS31 may find that a short day will suffice.
Separate practical assessment with questions (about 2 - 3 hours) through an NPTC centre. Individuals normally arrange their own assessment with their local NPTC centre once they have completed their training.
Refresher training is recommended approximately every three years.
! All trainees must be over 16 years of age. Persons with certain ailments or on certain medication may not be able to take part in the practical sessions. First Aid training recommended.
